Reading this post brought a smile to my face because people always love wasting their money, but rarely focus their funds towards bettering our planet. Hopefully this website's discounts are incentive enough for people to start spending more of their money more consciously. The conspicuous consumption of global north countries is the leading cause of greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere and also forces people in the global south to live in impoverished nations.

Very interesting find! I agree that most people should be more aware of what they purchase and make a better effort to purchase Eco-friendly. Now, to incorporate the message through a medium like Facebook is ideal because you will be guaranteed to reach a large contingent of people, and likely the ones interested in TheDoGooders offers. Interestingly, the business plan for this company seems fairly thought out, as a portion of profit benefit local schools of choice for businesses that are “local, Eco-friendly, humanitarian, or socially responsible.” I am always one to support any attempt at raising the awareness for how we can become a more conscientious culture in our "living" habits; so thanks for sharing!

This was a great article the way to entice consumers is with a great deal and this is exactly what this website does. The facebook crowd is a large network so that was smart of them to target that social network. I think people get wrapped up in our busy lives and it is hard to make time to go to the farmers market, but this website gives you an incentive to stop and check out a deal. I like how the website gives you a few criteria for the products and services "The companies providing the products and services must be local, eco-friendly, humanitarian, or socially responsible."
